The Victron Smart DC-DC charger is a professional DC to DC adaptive 3-stage charger with built-in Bluetooth. Battery Charger features multistage smart charging technology that is fully automatic set and forget charger. It is designed to quickly and accurately recharge your deep cycle batteries on the go. 
 
The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and can be remotely controlled via a remote on/off switch and has an engine running detection mechanism.
Most Motorhomes have smart alternators fitted and do not produce a constant efficient charge to your house batteries. Motorhomes that do charge whilst driving only produce a very small amount of charge rate. 
Installing a DC-DC charger gives you 30A of constant charge to your house batteries when driving, which is equivalent to being plugged in to mains power.  This clever little device also monitors the battery status and will not draw power if not within parameters.
